This beautifully hand-painted wooden plaque, dating from the late 19th century, proudly displays a finely detailed family crest. The vibrant red and cream shield is adorned with a lion rampant on the left and a fleur-de-lis with heraldic charges on the right, framed by ornate flourishes of gold and rich crimson. Above the crest, a sword and gauntlet motif rests, symbolizing strength and nobility. Beneath, a banner displays the Latin motto "Virtute Non Ferro," which translates to "By virtue, not by force."

The piece is painted on a wooden panel, its surface bearing a charming, naturally-aged patina with subtle craquelure that enhances its historical character.
