An Ultima 15 cast aluminum ashtray designed by Swedish artists Holger Bäckström and Bo Ljungberg, known collectively as Beck & Jung. The duo worked extensively with geometric abstraction, developing patterns and compositions that extended from graphic art into furniture and decorative objects. Produced for Diverse Ting in Malmö, the Ultima 15 features a removable top with a geometric arrangement of recessed forms, combining the artists’ interest in geometric design with an everyday functional object.
